M. R. Weston is a writer, editor, and publisher who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in English, and earned an M.A
in American Literature from Old Dominion University (2003). She has worked as a student-teacher at the University of New Hampshire and as a tutor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has conducted reading programs for individual and small groups at various schools and libraries throughout the eastern half of the United States, including UNC-Wilmington, Wake Forest University, and the University of Maryland. Her short stories and essays have appeared in more than forty literary magazines and anthologies, including Best Women's Erotica of 2002 (Naughty Nights Press), The Best Men's Erotica 2000 (Wicked), Best New Erotica 1996 (Signet), Flash Fiction: The Flash Collection of 2000 (Five Star), and Dirty Destinations: The Best Short Stories About Sex (Darkness to Light).
She is the recipient of two Arts Council grants – one for editing – and has received an honorable mention from the National Endowment for the Arts for her fiction writing.
